Deliver Global Leverage and supply network market knowledge to product supply organizations for incorporation into future designs & supply design collaboration events.**JOB RELATED STATISTICS**:Attributes will typically fall into the following levels.- Spend: Generally up to 250 million- Business Partner Impact: Multiple Business Units (RI, EMD, EXD, PSLD Aftermarket)- Market Difficulty: Strategic- Process Difficulty: Complex- Budget/Revenue: Generally less than $1 million- Personnel Location: Generally One Site**JOB DUTIES**:Major Role: - Reporting directly to the Global Procurement Manager this role is accountable for the development, communication and implementation of Americas/EAME sourcing strategy for REE L1-L3 Cab components (HVAC, Seats, Glass, Windows, Mirrors, Wipers, Visor, Pedals, Steering Column, Arm Controls, Door Latches, Keys) with a goal to localize new and existing suppliers in Mexico.Manage supplier performance, relationships, and agreements/contracts (including existing Commodity and Warranty Agreements) for their category; while collaborating with Facility and Product Supply Managers to create a competitive advantage for our customers and the enterprise by developing, optimizing, and integrating a world-class supply network.Responsible for the category liaison with the corresponding functional areas within the Global Supply Network Division. The position will require strong negotiation skills, comprehensive understanding of supplier capacity planning, catalogue management as well as business acumen.People: - This person will manage a high performing team of supplier development engineers and procurement professionals who will identify, develop and manage a high performing global supply network supporting RI, EMD and EXD facilities located in Americas/EAME.Leadership- Develop, mentor, and train personnel capable of delivering the supplier strategy for the assigned category. Adhere to the approved Performance Management Plan. Identify performance gaps within the supply base and develop improvement plans for the identified gaps. Lead teams to fully understand the requirements and performance of the supply base. Using a 6 Sigma Strategic Sourcing approach, the team will evaluate strategic options; decide a course of action and implement.Customers - The role will encompass managing suppliers delivering into RI, EMD, EXD, PSLD facilities. The role will require a strong communicator capable of keeping the customer fully informed of progress and working closely with the customer to ensure all requirements are met.Supplier Development - Collaborate with the Supply Network on risk mitigation, this will require new supplier on-boarding, relationship building and management at senior levels with the suppliers that encourage trust, professionalism and continuous improvement. Predictive cost modeling both geographic and component based will be used extensively and will require a strong knowledge of Macroeconomics and well as component costing.Travel - 30% travel will be required.**BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE**:- This position requires fluent English- Bachelor’s Degree - or equivalent experience required- Well-developed communication and negotiation skills- Knowledge of Quality and Cost Modeling tools- Able to develop a vision, strategy and execute- Complex strategic relationship management experience required- Lean manufacturing, an understanding of lean principles- Global sourcing knowledge and experience required- Able to acquire an understanding of governmental, environmental, political, and geographic factors that influence a supply network**ADVANCE EXPERIENCE**:- Master’s Degree - or equivalent experience- Professional certification in Purchasing and/or Inventory Management preferred, e.g.; Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified in Integration Resource Management (CIRM), or comparable International certification.
