Controller Specialist

Job Title: Controller SpecialistOverview:We are seeking an experienced financial controller with strong accounting skills to oversee the day-to-day activities of our general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing accounting teams, executing journal entries, and reconciliations, while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.Additionally, they will lead month-end and year-end closing processes, review and analyze financial data, and identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.Key Responsibilities:- Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.- Oversee the execution of journal entries, reconciliations, and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.- Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.- Perform and review complex balance sheet account reconciliations.- Investigate and resolve reconciling items, ensuring accuracy and compliance.- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the general ledger function.- Implement best practices and efficiency enhancements to optimize workflows.- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure seamless integration of general ledger activities with broader financial processes.Required Skills and Qualifications:Accounting and Financial Knowledge:- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger processes.- Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems.- Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.- Effective communication skills to convey financial information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Personal Qualities:- High capacity and persistent mindset.- Well-organized and self-starter.- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and reports.- Embracing change and ambiguity.- Evaluating information and embracing new technologies.Benefits:Excellent accounting skills, proficiency in using accounting software, high capacity, persistent mind-set, well-organized, self-starter, meticulous attention to detail, analytical skills, effective communication skills, embracing change, ambiguity, evaluating information, embracing new technologies.Requirements:Location: Zapopan Andares.Language: Fluent English.
