Job Title: Remote Senior Staff Accountant & Onboarding Lead (100% Work From Home) Location: Remote from Latin America Position Type: Full-time Salary: $2,600 - 3,500 USD/month depending on experience + commissions on onboarded clients Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm Eastern Time Job Overview Our client is a steadily growing modern accounting firm for small to mid sized businesses in the US. Their clients are landscapers, roofers, web designers, doctors - busy small business owners who they appreciate dearly. The company provides a monthly subscription for bookkeeping, business taxes, and personal taxes where we serve clients year round. They are ranked in the top 10% of accounting firms nationwide on Clutch. We're looking for a great Senior Staff Accountant to lead new client onboarding. Responsibilities: Lead Zoom calls with small business owners to understand their business and accounting Take new messy clients and clean up their bookkeeping, and streamline processes, connect bank feeds, update chart of accounts, then hand it off to teammate for regular monthly bookkeeping Clean up existing Quickbooks Online files, as well as open new Quickbooks online files Your daily tasks will be cleanly organized in Canopy, our practice management system, a critical tool that will set you up for success managing work across multiple clients As you work, you’ll always stop to ask questions of your team when you aren’t exactly sure what needs to be done - whether inside a client’s books or another client system Understand and connect CRMs such as Jobber, Hubspot, ServiceTitan and Square that integrate with Quickbooks online Make sure the prior year tax return matches the bookkeeping Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies: 5+ years experience in accounting and bookkeeping 3+ years experience in Quickbooks Online 2+ year experience working with US companies Exposure to US taxes (not necessary, but would be helpful to understand how S corps, sole proprietors, partnerships, etc should be set up for chart of accounts, owner pay, etc) Excellent written and spoken English Tech savvy - able to navigate Zoom, Slack, etc and learn new software quickly Ability to manage deadlines across multiple clients with an awareness of what needs to be prioritized Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members across digital channels and an innate desire to build relationships Humility and openness to coaching and critiques; always seeking to improve Persistence and an ability to stay on track Bookkeeping skills, general knowledge of payroll and accounting principles #J-18808-Ljbffr
