Manufacturing Engineer I

To support, improve and implement manufacturing processes considering tools, equipment, layout, facilities and systems to create safe and quality product with a competitive cost and optimum performance.To document process standards and work instructions, focused mainly on production support.Collects data from manufacturing processes related to time studies, layouts, etc. and continuously improves process performance in safety, quality, cost, etc.Maintain production processes safe, with the best product quality and delivery working at the optimum operational cost.- Participates in PFMEA analysis.Gathers information needed for MWIs.Creates procedures and controls for error proofing devices.Follows up on activities driven by SPC.Provides maintenance and keeps gage calibrated.Supports root cause investigation.Support APQP activities, documentation.Supports PPAP documentation to be completed.Has some knowledge of requirements for ISO.Creates documentation for ISO.Yellow Belt- Follows up on DFM, DFA, DFT open issues.Understands and verifies proper setting of equipment.Can calculate CPK.Able to open and create small projects.Consults 2D drawings.SAP Consult basic information.Gives support in control runs and ESL/MSL builds with proper guidance.Can develop a simple process and improve current processes of his area of expertise.- Know basics requirements for equipment.Understands logic of automation projects.Can assess with checklist or guidelines an equipment and give improvement ideas or projects.Updates finance with assets identification.Supports Process Changes Supports.Process Changes- Prepares information for VSM analysis.Has notions of kanban.Can calculate kanban levels with tools.Has knowledge of lean tools, some improvement experience in small projects.Documents current layout.Fixes and maintain current material handling.Executes workstation build.Captures cycle times for calculation.Captures standard work durations- Calculates Manning required for his assigned area Validates production times in processes Determines equipment location and layout in his area of responsibility looking for best option considering manufacturing flow, material handling and ergonomics.Understands labor std hrs.- Active participation as team member in projectmanagement.Supports simple continuous improvement projects.Consults SAP basic transactions to support production in engineering related problems.- Assist problem solving activities related to downtime, quality or safety issues by analyzing BOMs, interpreting drawings, engineering specifications.Assists in root cause analysis for quality issues.- Participates on specified activities or NPD projects under supervision of Mfg.Eng.II.Supports in controlled runs and participates in the CQP and PPAP process.Implement productivity projects related to labor, overhead and material through engineering tools and/or process automation opportunities.Create temporary process deviations documentation (PCOs) for process and material changes when required and executes ECN BETs assigned to him by a senior Mg.Eng.- Supports and creates Job Safety Analysis (ASTs) and Safety Practices for the manufacturing process.Supports layout and workstations to comply with ergonomic standards.Comply with healthy and safety guidelines and rules.- Protect CGI's reputation by keeping information confidential- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teamsMinimum Qualifications**Education/Certifications**:Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronic or Mechanic Engineering**Experience**:0 to 2 years of experience.**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:- Experience with work instructions and project implementation- Professional internships for industrial or manufacturing engineering or maintenance**Other**:- Intermediate English proficiencyChamberlain is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.You will be considered for this position based upon your experience and education, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, ancestry, marital, disabled or veteran status.We are committed to creating and maintaining a workforce environment that is free from any form of discriminations or harassment.
