DYADlaw, P.C. - a fast growing law firm passionate about helping immigrants with their legal status and defining their American Dreams is looking for their next superstar.Are you passionate about immigrant rights?Do you want to play a role in changing lives?Are you able to work independently and as part of a team?Are you detail oriented?Do you enjoy being an integral part of things that actually make a difference and are important?This is a position that will allow you to work on many exciting cases with a group of dedicated co-workers who all have the same mission - to help people and change their lives.Come be a dream maker with us**Translator**The DYADlaw Translator will be a passionate advocate for Immigration and Immigrant Rights.This position will be responsible for translating documents from Spanish to English, such as birth certifications, declarations, letters and other legal documents, so that the information is accurately recorded for legal review.**Responsibilities**- Translate documents in Spanish to English quickly and efficiently, providing accurate understanding, context and meaning and staying attuned to subtleties and details in every document.- Organize translated material and finalize translation according to standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.- Assist with interpretations (as needed).- Be aware of legal implications of certain word choices.- Assist in developing and translating information on immigration, such as educational material for clients.- Complete case tasks in the case management system.- Other administrative and writing tasks (as needed)**Requirements**:- Must possess excellent written communication skills, having effective writing skills to meet the needs of the client/case needs.- Proficient in English and Spanish- Must be organized, analytical, and strategic, finding ways to structure or classify multiple pieces of information.- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and related software.- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to multitask- Ability to prioritize and discern what is important, including sense of urgency- Recognize the need and uphold confidentiality at all times- Ability to work independently and complete a set of tasks.**Classification**Salary**Pay**Starting $16,000 MXN per month**Schedule**Full-time, 40 hours per weekMonday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.**Work Environment**Tijuana, MX (remote)**Objectives by Level**Level 1- With in-depth knowledge of the English language, perform translation of written text from Spanish into English (and vice versa) in various legal documents.- Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone- Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy- Show basic information gathering and researching skills; knowing how to find information and identifying essential information.- Be an active learner; working with new material or information to grasp its implications.- Consistent time-management skills; meeting schedule and deadlines, adjusting priorities, and being productive during the workday.- Edit, standardize, proofread, revise and finalize translated material prepared by others.Pay: $16,****** - $19,****** per month
