Controller Puerto Rico & Colombia Join to apply for the Controller Puerto Rico & Colombia role at Emerson. Job Description The Colombia and Puerto Rico Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial & accounting US GAAP for those countries. The position is based in the Solutions Center in Costa Rica, working closely with all finance teams in CR and in-country. This role will dictate the accounting cycle standards, including master data, processes and financial statements for actuals. Responsibilities Lead Colombia and Puerto Rico accounting cycle. Manage governance of all processes related to accounting & project accounting. Support CFO and BUs with all requests related to US GAAP. Guide all controls in country with accounting cycle and process definition. Ensure compliance with all ICQs related to accounting & project accounting. Act as first point of contact for BUs & countries for actuals reporting. Administrate balance sheet reconciliation and exposures. Support compliance on internal & external audit preparation. Work in conjunction with transactional teams in CR to standardize and improve finance processes. Who You Are You are open to change and continue to learn and experience new opportunities. You have an in-depth understanding of how businesses work and make money. You anticipate customer needs and provide services beyond customer expectations. Requirements 5-10 years’ experience in similar positions in multinational companies. Fluent in English. Knowledge in US GAAP & IFRS. Strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint). HFM & Oracle knowledge is a plus.
