Wideout is seeking a Print Production Expert to support the production of printed marketing materials.This person will perform all the steps necessary to ensure designs created by the production team are print-ready before they are sent to the print vendors.The Print Production Expert will work closely with a U.S.based marketing agency operations team along with our creatives, business partners, and various stakeholders to execute client projects.**Duties and Responsibilities**- Utilizing knowledge and understanding of the pre-press and printing capabilities of equipment—determine style, technique, and medium best suited to produce desired effects- Process and export files according to print specifications which include creating separations, remapping of colors, overprinting, bleeding, and color correction- Communicate with several teams at various stages of the project and make changes as necessary to ensure the processed files meet the printer requirements for production- Prepare proofs to be inspected by reviewers, managers, and experts- Perform and establish pre-flight checks according to brand guidelines and printer specifications and readiness- Resolve quality concerns and troubleshoot and fix file issues prior to hand-off**Qualifications**- 2+ years of proven work experience as a graphic/pre-press designer or similar role; agency experience is a plus- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; or Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate of a related field- Proficiency in the pre-press production process, including specification, documentation, and quality assurance- Basic to intermediate knowledge in design using the Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) is required; proficiency with Microsoft Office is also highly advantageous- Experience with working with a digital asset management (DAM) platform is a plus- Able to build or amend packaged digital files efficiently and accurately- Able to understand and follow brand guidelines and operate within printing limitationsAbility to commute/relocate:- Ciudad de México: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
