The Industry Data Analyst will support professional market customers (legal, tax, corporates, and government) by analysing, preparing, and disseminating data through unique and thought‑provoking insights and ensuring customers receive the highest possible value from their interactions with Thomson Reuters Institutes’ Thought Leadership. About The Role Design and deliver in‑depth financial benchmarking analyses for Strategic Insights customers and the broader professional markets the company serves. Conduct data and industry presentations for managing partners, C‑level executives, and firm leaders at client firms, as well as the broader professional markets and internal groups. Identify business development opportunities through high‑level interactions with the marketplace, referrals, and relationship building strategies. Collaborate with sales and implementation teams to ensure the timely and professional delivery of services to manage and exceed client expectations. Validate data to ensure consistent reporting of defined business metrics. Develop content driven by insights derived from data analysis, extensive research, and thorough industry knowledge across legal, tax, corporate and government spaces. Project manage the final production of content with internal and external stakeholders. Establish yourself as a subject‑matter expert by articulating industry data analysis & insights through multiple mediums including client‑facing content, webinars, speaking engagements, and written blog posts and white‑paper reports. Support new team members, contributing to onboarding and team growth. Plan and participate in predictive analytics and automation projects, with measurable efficiency targets. About You Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, statistics, data science/engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, business analytics or a related field (preferred). 1–2 years of experience. Familiarity with professional service industry knowledge (preferred). Demonstrated ability to organise data and communicate results effectively both orally and in writing. Financial acumen and interpersonal skills to connect with management and associated business issues. Personable, polished presence and professional image. Ability to produce work of the highest quality under tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail. Strong analytical skills (descriptive statistics, predictive statistics, exploratory data analysis). Proficiency with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint. Preferred experience with Power BI, Power Pivot and Power Query. Familiarity with AI tools (prompt engineering and artificial neural networks concepts). Experience in SQL, Alteryx and Python. Preferred experience with predictive modelling software and R. Preferred experience in Git and GitHub. Requirement to speak English and Spanish. Bilingual in English and Spanish, with fluency in speaking, spelling, grammar and punctuation in both languages. Familiarity with cloud analytics platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus. Familiarity with Portuguese would be a bonus.
