About WeWorkAt WeWork, we provide flexible workspace solutions to help businesses of all sizes thrive in more than 37 countries worldwide.The future of work is here, and we're not just a part of that movement—we're leading it.United by a desire to build a global community, our purpose is to give members the support to do their best work, and the space to take their ideas to new heights.Join us as we empower tomorrow's world at work.The OpportunityWe are looking for a Senior Network engineer who will report to the network engineering manager to ensure the delivery of reliable and defect free network infrastructure for new and existing buildings.WeWork's production network serves all of our Members that are distributed across 300+ buildings and located in 20+ countries around the world.The Network Engineering team is responsible for operating that network reliably and at scale.As a member of the team, you have a direct impact on network infrastructure design and feature enhancements to keep our systems running smoothly.You are focused on creating engineering solutions to operations problems, optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation.You also ensure that network operations are safe and efficient by monitoring network performance, coordinating planned maintenance, adjusting hardware components and responding to network connectivity issues.ResponsibilitiesHandle escalated incident management in partnership with NOC teamSubject matter expert for wired/wireless issues for the departmentCross-Functional/Regional support to wider businessFocused on maintaining current standards and designing seeking automation solutions for labor intensive tasksTroubleshoot, remedy and/or escalate network related issues within the defined networking SLA / OLA model and processesParticipate in regular resilience/failover testingPlan preventive maintenanceHandle Day to Day network operations and effectively respond to escalations, incident tickets, and email requests handled by Network TeamSupport large-scale IT service hardware deployments, building and maintenanceSupporting the member solutions team to identify the best deployment options for members with additional requirementsAbility to own the Requisition & PO process for vendors & equipment ordering for both Network related support requests and project (Capex) initiativesWork in new building opening network configurationSupport Capital ImprovementsAssist Member Solutions & Tech Leads to close opportunities by advising potential new members on best in class solutions/alternativesParticipate in a regular on-call rotationMaximize the network standards for scalability and supportCoordinate/collaborate with vendors for maintenance services on Network and IT server roomsReview technical documentation of supported environments to ensure that documentation is accurate and up to dateMentor and provide guidance to other networking team membersInvolve in planning, implementing, and supporting network related and non-related projects and collaborate with other departments as neededInteract with members on calls whenever is neededEscalation point for the other networking team members in the regionAbout YouBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology and 6+ years of relevant industry experience or combination of education and/or experienceProficient in EnglishCCNP certificationJuniper certified a plusAbility to manage multiple priorities in an efficient manner, as well as delegate responsibilities and tasks to direct reports and vendorsAvailability to work outside prescribed business hours for large-scale or escalated network outages and incidentsAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesAbility to learn and adapt to new standards and provide critical feedback to the architecture teamThe ability to convey technical information to both internal and external stakeholdersExperience working with network monitoring applications (e.G. Solarwinds, Zabbix)Knowledge of and working production experience with wireless controllers, both local and cloud-based (e.G. Cisco, Mist, Ruckus)Knowledge of and working production experience with help desk ticketing systems (e.G.
