Everything we do centers around people.That means we obsess over how to make the lives of our customers, and their customers, better.And it means we prioritize a diverse F5 community where each individual can thrive.Job Description: Senior Software Development ManagerBut our success isn't driven solely by what we do.We also care deeply about how we do it.At F5, our culture is how we live, every single day.And it's producing outstanding results—not only for our customers, but also for our employees.We understand that your life is about more than just work, so we're committed to a culture that supports your whole life.The Sr.Dev Manager will work closely with and provide technical leadership with F5 Product Management, Feature Product Development, and F5 partners and customers to provide solutions to complex business challenges.This role will help solve complex technical problems, and while balancing business needs versus technical constraints, drive successful execution in a timely and agile manner.We are looking for a Software Development Manager with strong expertise in designing and supporting enterprise-scale software solutions.You will be responsible for leading the team that owns the design, implementation, and quality of services of a key service that impacts every F5 customer and employee.This role will partner closely with the Information Security team and work regularly with, and provide guidance to, F5 executives and leadership.We are looking for someone who has a passion for excellent software delivery to ensure a great customer experience.This is an ideal position for leader looking to challenge the status quo to deliver innovative products to delight our customers.You will need to bring hands-on industry experience working with Product Management, customers, and employees to ensure they have access to the right data at the right time.You will be well-versed in working across multiple partner teams to deliver complex technical solutions.If you have superior judgment, strong problem-solving and communication skills, the ability to influence people, and the desire to affect change and to deliver F5's next generation of cloud products, you've found your home.**Responsibilities**:- Collaborate across teams to ensure engineering rigor and innovation at scale, performance, and security for what we are shipping and how we are building solutions.- Partner with architects and engineers on new designs, articulate technical proposals and roadmap of delivery timelines.- Foster opportunities to incubate new ideas for customer outcomes.- Collaborate with Digital Marketing and F5 business units to identify gaps, build actionable feedback to drive product delivery.- Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering projects.- Direct, review, or approve design changes.- Confer with peer teams, management, production, or marketing staff to discuss project specifications or procedures.- Present and explain proposals, reports, or findings to executive management.- Mentor your team and foster their growth and professional development.**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering, or 4 years of equivalent software engineering work experience.- At least 4 years of experience as a software engineer/developer, coding an object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, or C++.- At least 4 years of experience as an engineering lead, dev manager, or lead software engineer; with a focus on mentoring engineers and leading by example to deliver customer solutions spanning multiple teams.- Mastery of security protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC, etc.- Experience with Okta, SailPoint, and Azure Active Directory a plus.- Enterprise experience with service architecture, design, and deployment of large-scale distributed systems with focus on scalability, performance, and security.- Flexibility, thinking on your feet, and strong problem-solving skills.- Strong track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment.- Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.- Effective collaborator experienced in creating technical partnerships across teams.- Demonstrable ability to own and deliver projects and results of increasing technical complexity.LI-OR1Equal Employment Opportunity.
