Job SummaryOperations Manager Job SummaryAre you a skilled leader with experience in transportation and logistics?We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team.Your primary responsibility will be to lead our operations team, ensuring the smooth execution of our logistics services.You will be responsible for managing our daily operations, including coordinating shipments, resolving issues, and implementing process improvements.Our ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for improving processes.If you have a proven track record of success in transportation and logistics, we encourage you to apply.About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise and leadership ability.As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of logistics professionals.You will work closely with our sales team to ensure seamless execution of our logistics services.You will be responsible for managing our relationships with carriers and suppliers.You will analyze operational performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.You will implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.You will develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and transportation principles.Develop and implement effective logistics strategies.Analyze and resolve operational issues.Manage relationships with carriers and suppliers.Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Lead a team of logistics professionals.Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have : 10+ years of experience in transportation or freight forwarding.5+ years of experience in a similar managerial role.Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and EDI Systems.Knowledge of Canada, USA, Mexico Customs cross-border practices & procedures.Knowledge of LTL / FTL systems.Knowledgeable in CargoWise considered an asset.Working knowledge of Loadlink / DAT is considered an asset.Post-Secondary education in Supply Chain Management considered an asset.Preferred QualificationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Strong leadership and team management skills.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.Familiarity with industry-specific software and technology.What We OfferWe offer a competitive compensation package and opportunities for career growth and development.A dynamic and fast-paced work environment.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A competitive salary and benefits package.A collaborative and supportive team environment.#J-*****-Ljbffr
