At ABB, we help industries outrun - leaner and cleaner.Here, progress is an expectation - for you, your team, and the world.As a global market leader, we'll give you what you need to make it happen.It won't always be easy, growing takes grit.But at ABB, you'll never run alone.Run what runs the world.This Position reports to:Product Engineering Manager**Your role and responsibilities (mandatory)**In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety.Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets.You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnSiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.You will be mainly accountable for:- Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.- Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.- Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.- Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.**Qualifications for the role (mandatory)**- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechatronics, mechanical, or similar engineering.- 4+ years of experience in product engineering, including working as a Product Engineer with low and medium voltage switchboards and electrical distribution systems.- You are highly skilled in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and the electrical equipment and Switchboard manufacturing market.- Knowledge OBLIGATORY in switchboard products.- Knowledge of SAP and GPLM systems (Solidworks and AutoCAD).- Advanced English proficiency.- Knowledge of electrical diagrams.
