**EDI Specialist****Key Responsibilities**- **System Implementation and Configuration**:Setting up and configuring EDI systems to meet specific business needs and ensuring they align with industry standards like ANSI X12.- **Data Mapping and Translation**:Creating and maintaining the rules and processes that translate data from one format to another, ensuring accurate and efficient data exchange.- **Transaction Monitoring and Troubleshooting**:Monitoring EDI transactions, identifying and resolving any errors or issues that arise during the data exchange process.- **Collaboration and Communication**:Working with internal teams (e.g., IT, business analysts) and external partners (e.g., suppliers, customers) to gather requirements, resolve issues, and ensure smooth integration.- **Compliance and Security**:Ensuring that all EDI processes and data exchanges comply with relevant regulations and security protocols.- **Documentation and Training**:Creating and maintaining documentation related to EDI processes, systems, and trading partner agreements, as well as providing training to users on how to utilize the system.- **Staying Updated**:Keeping abreast of the latest EDI technologies, standards, and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.**Skills and Qualifications**:- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Proficiency in EDI standards and protocols (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT)- Experience with EDI software and tools (e.g., mapping software, translation tools)- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C++, Java) may be required for some roles- Understanding data mapping and translation processes- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Experience with ERP systems and integration with EDI is often beneficial
