Senior Analyst, Real-time Payments Platform Engineering & OperationsTitle and SummarySenior Analyst, Real-time Payments Platform Engineering & OperationsJob SummaryReal-time Payments Platform Engineering & Operations Senior Analyst leads a team responsible for the comprehensive lifecycle management of Mastercard's mission-critical on-premise Real-time Payment technology environments (e.g., SPEI).This role requires deep technical expertise, operational management, and people leadership to ensure optimal performance, security, availability, and efficiency of these complex payment platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinates and manages the building and maintaining of Mastercard's on-prem real-time payment technology environments (SPEI), including associated software products.Resolves chronic complex problems, providing managerial operational support to maintain systems and platforms.Monitors performance to identify areas of concern and participates in the planning and implementation of updates to optimise performance.Assists with process improvement efforts to identify and test opportunities for automation and/or reduction in time to deployment.Assesses Mastercard's security to ensure effective safeguard processes are in place and operational platforms are running effectively for hosted production systems.Performs lifecycle management for supported hardware platforms, including technical refresh planning and capacity upgrades.Participates in the planning and implementation of system/platform updates to optimise performance, efficiency, and capacity.Performs holistic platform security posture which includes identifying risks, escalating potential concerns, and implementing both risk mitigation plans and control functions.Completes status reports, troubleshooting guides, and project plans to provide in-depth technical assistance to development programmers and customers.May perform financial planning, forecasting, and budget tracking to reduce total cost of ownership and allocate resources efficiently.Manages a team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, mentors and coaches top talent within own team.Required Skills & ExperienceDatabase Administration & Connectivity – solid experience managing and maintaining enterprise databases and troubleshooting performance in high-availability environments.System Administration & Enterprise Monitoring – proven expertise in administering complex systems and implementing enterprise-grade monitoring solutions.IT Service Management & Infrastructure Implementation – hands-on experience with ITSM frameworks and tools, supporting service delivery and incident management.Quality Assurance & System Integration – familiarity with QA methodologies and tools to validate system reliability and performance.Technology Asset Management & Datacenter Facilities Oversight – manage technology assets throughout their lifecycle and oversee datacenter operations.Technical Documentation & Architecture Design – strong technical writing skills and experience contributing to architecture design for scalable, secure, and resilient network systems.Data Security & Problem Solving – deep understanding of data protection principles and risk mitigation strategies.Soft Skills & Collaboration – excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally and mentor junior team members.Location & Language – currently live in Mexico City and available to attend the office three times per week; advanced level of English communication.Corporate Security ResponsibilityAbide by Mastercard's security policies and practices.Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed.Report any suspected information security violation or breach.Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelines.Seniority LevelMid-Senior LevelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionBusiness Development and Sales#J-*****-Ljbffr
