At Gentherm, we say, "**It's about the person**."We're with you on a cold winter day when you turn on your heated seat and steering wheel or helping manage patient body temperature in the operating room, recovering room or intensive care units.We take a human approach with everything we do.As the global market leader of innovative thermal management and pneumatic comfort technologies for the automotive industry we embrace the opportunity to create and deliver extraordinary solutions that make meaningful differences in everyday life.We do this by improving health, wellness, comfort and energy efficiency.We embrace an entrepreneurial spirit and combine that with our global leadership to deliver results.Working at Gentherm provides you the opportunity to not only shape the future of the automotive and medical industries, but also influence your career throughout the company.You will be engaged, challenged and inspired by our team to deliver leading thermal technologies that positively impact lives around the world.**PAYROLL SPECIALIST TEMPORARY**:**IMPACT & OPPORTUNITY**:Process and audit weekly and semi-monthly payroll for U.S.based employees.Maintain, update, and validate payroll data to ensure accurate payments and proper deductions.Support leave management, final reporting, secure archiving, and various end-of-cycle payroll tasks.Contribute to payroll-related projects and cross-functional initiatives while ensuring compliance and process excellence.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:**Key Responsibilities**- Partner with HR, Finance, and other departments to maintain accurate employee data and support payroll-related reports (e.g., workers' compensation, unemployment claims, shadow payroll, vacation tracking, 401(k), and tax reporting).- Administer and maintain the electronic timekeeping system; onboard new employees, monitor submissions, and validate data transfers between timekeeping and financial systems.- Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; stay current with legislation and regulatory changes.- Maintain the accuracy of employee master data and personnel records, ensuring timely and properly authorized updates in line with SOX controls.- Provide payroll process training to employees and new hires; create easy-to-understand documents and guides for users at all levels.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:- Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field and 1-3 years of payroll experience; or 2-4 years of equivalent position-related experience.- Knowledge of IRS reporting requirements and functional understanding of payroll and accounting processes.- Strong skills in time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, and organization.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:- Experience managing ambiguity and adapting to changing requirements.- Prior exposure to small, dynamic team environments.- Detail-oriented and highly analytical with strong organizational skills.- Resourceful, results-driven, and solution-oriented.- Strong customer service orientation with excellent problem-solving ability.- Creative thinking and willingness to challenge existing processes.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Gentherm is an Equal Opportunity Employer.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.- Job Req ID: ****- Country/Region: MX- Published: May 22, ******Job Segment**:Payroll, Workers Compensation, Compliance, ICU, Surgery, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Healthcare
