PURPOSE AND SCOPE:The Technical Writer assists in the development, maintenance and distribution of technical documentation within the assigned function(s).The incumbent collaborates with cross-divisional teams in the research and translation of technical information for technical and nontechnical users in compliance with company policy and procedures.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assist in the creation and maintenance of all necessary technical documents within the assigned function(s).- Maintain service records to track and/or highlight general issues, correction actions and procedural modifications.- Support the distribution of all applicable technical documentation to cross-divisional teams and/or customers as necessary.- Collaborate with cross-divisional teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of written information in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.- Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.- Other duties as assigned.Additional responsibilities may include focus on one or more departments or locations.See applicable addendum for department or location specific functions.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:- The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.EDUCATION:An Associate's degree or equivalent vocational training/experience.EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:- 2 - 5 years' related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.- Prior experience in a dialysis and/or hospital environment preferred.- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cohesively within a team environment.- Great oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management.EO/AA Employer: Minorities/Females/Veterans/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity**Fresenius Medical Care North America maintains a drug-free workplace in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.
