OverviewAre you an expert in application development? We're seeking a skilled Applications Engineer to join our team. ResponsibilitiesConducting demonstrations of hardware and software products to showcase technical features and processes to prospective and existing customersEffectively communicating the benefits of complex applications to customersAssisting the regional sales team in providing product recommendations for customer applicationsPreparing operating instructions and conducting training programs to meet customer needsMaintaining positive customer relationships through effective interactionPreparing detailed technical specifications for quotationsDeveloping programs / applications that effectively accomplish customer specifications / objectivesConsulting with customers and incorporating their needs and feedback into application designsProviding technical support to customers both on-site and by phoneEnsuring programs / applications work properly after maintenance and testingAnalyzing and editing existing programs / applications as needed to optimize performance You will be working closely with our engineering and marketing groups on product development projects. QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.G., mechanical engineering, electronics, or computer science)Minimum of three years mechanical, electrical, computer, and software experience, Minimum 2 years of experience in dimensional metrology applicationsSolid knowledge of 3D CADUnderstanding of : Tolerances and geometric dimensions (GD&T); ISO, ASME B89, and VDI standards; Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA, GR&R)Experience in operation and programming of dimensional metrology equipment, VB programming preferredAdvanced computer skills, configuration, and maintenanceMust exhibit independence and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal assistanceMust be able to travel extensivelyFluent Advanced English Please note that all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
