The Sr. SQE works closely with internal teams such as Procurement Manufacturing, Engineering, and Corporate Supplier Quality to maintain supplier performance and drive corrective actions when necessary.Position SummarySr. Supplier Quality Engineer (Sr. SQE) is responsible for ensuring that all supplied components and materials meet quality standards and specifications required for production. This role serves as the primary liaison between the plant and suppliers, focusing on quality assurance, supplier improvement, and problem resolution. The Sr. SQE works closely with internal teams such as Procurement Manufacturing, Engineering, and Corporate Supplier Quality to maintain supplier performance and drive corrective actions when necessary.ResponsibilitiesSupport determining the data driven top customer field issues list, verify an owner is assigned and status is reported weekly.Lead cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions through problem solving process.Evaluate completed corrective actions and ensure effectiveness of actions.Recommend appropriate remedial activities.Visit suppliers to proactively see installations and document improvement needs.Visit suppliers to understand the nature of the issue and get definitive corrective action initiated in the organization.Request and approve PPAP documents from suppliers.Evaluate potential new suppliers by conducting on-site audits and scoring of Quality Management System.Present reports to organization regarding Quality performance.Present status updates on various quality initiatives to business management.Develop 8D and root cause analysis reports on escalated issues.Communicate internally and externally on outcomes of investigations.Work with Engineering, Services, Manufacturing/Operations, Sales, Offering, Management, and Supplier Quality to resolve quality issues impacting customers.Other responsibilities as required to support the OM team and LOB.QualificationsReports to: Supplier Quality Manager-AMERSchooling required: Bachelor’s degree required with equivalent experience.Experience required: 3 to 4 years of experienceEnglish level: 90% Computational knowledgeProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSNoTime Travel Requiredup to 60%About The TeamWork AuthorizationNo calls or agencies please.
