Position Summary The Import / Export Lead will provide support on overlooking all customs compliance activities related to import and export of raw materials, finish goods and equipment. This position oversees managing customs programs for IMMEX operation and with all related government agencies. This position will be the contact point for logistics operations and communication between supply chain/customs and HQ. Responsibilities And Essential Functions Administration of IMMEX program for compliance of specific rules and regulations on temporary import provision. Administration of duty deferral programs such as PROSEC, Rule 8 Administration of supply chain security programs such as C-TPAT and OEA Processing of import and export documentation as needed. Request of import and export permits as required with government agencies. Control of annex 24 and 31 temporary import balances for raw materials and equipment’s, making sure that temporary import time limit is not exceeded. Administrate and maintain the statement of account data in the Mexican IRS webpage up to date at every moment. Qualification of finish goods for free trade agreements such as USMCA, European Union, among others. Ensure that all due diligence is done related to customs affairs. Administration of Mexican and US customs brokers to maintain full compliance. Control cross border and international transportation service providers. Establish and maintain customs procedures for all critical activities. Establish and maintain key performance indicators for customs department. Generate annual budget for customs and transportation and maintain controls to meet site plan. Prepare annual customs declaration for IMMEX operations. Maintain control of import duty payments into Mexico and US Ensure that company is complying at every moment with all requirements for VAT certification.
