Design Technology Specialist

Your RoleWe are seeking experienced design professionals with a passion for experimentation, innovation, and problem solving to join our Design Technology community.As a Design Technology Specialist, the focus will be on leading BIM and other digital modeling adoption, implementation, and advancement within studio environments.Design Technology Specialist will partner with the Regional Design Technology Leaders to establish goals and strategic plans in support of office objectives.-What You Will Do--- Lead the implementation, management and execution of BIM/digital modeling pipeline on projects throughout all phases of the design process.- Partner with Regional Design Technology Leaders to monitor and report on model metrics and other analytical data throughout the life of projects.- Identify and resolve opportunities around model-management to optimize performance and user-experience.- Establish, communicate, and interpret changes in best practices, protocols, and other related matters.- Develop project-specific BIM execution plans derived from the Gensler standards framework set by the Firmwide Design Technology leadership.- Recognize the degree and complexity of a project and develop the right design technology strategy to optimize project performance as well as support and integrated a lean project delivery framework.- Author / Develop design solutions to address project needs using various tools, scripting and workflows.- Develop and strengthen relationships with office and studio leaders by improving communication, transparency, and involvement throughout the duration of a project.- Respond to general design technology support requests at the studio and project level.- Identify workflows, tools, and efficiencies that will bring value-proposition to our projects.- Research and develop on a continuous basis, innovative methods based on extensive experience and an understanding of current trends / techniques related to design technology.- Become an expert in Genlser's proprietary computational design products, drive traction within the region, and develop extensions to workflows using the product SDK.Your Qualifications--- Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training or prior work experience in the building industry.- 5+ years of experience in a project-specific BIM/digital design role of all phases of design and delivery.- Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit Architecture.- Solid knowledge of Navisworks and AutoCAD.- Knowledge of Dynamo is preferred.-- Articulate communicator, able to convey design technology concepts to all levels of design and delivery leadership.- Punctual, able to adhere to deadlines, and have a strong work ethic.- Creative thinker dedicated to problem solving, research, and innovation._ Bonus points:_--- Sustainability analysis with specific tool experience such as Fenestra Pro, OneClick LCA, Climate Studio, Ladybug tools, Tally, and Insight 360 for early design analysis and carbon usage metrics; massing, siting, orientation, water condition- Experience in computational and parametric design platforms: Dynamo, Grasshopper, Others.- Proficiency/experience in Python and/or C#- Experience in PowerBIHow to Apply--Life at Gensler-At Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.From curated art exhibits to internal design competitions to "Well-being Week," our offices reflect our people's diverse interests.-We encourage every person at Gensler to lead a healthy and balanced life.Our comprehensive benefits include subsidized health and life insurance, annual bonus, LinkedIn learning, holiday observance, and employee assistance programs.-As part of the firm's commitment to licensure and professional development, Gensler offers reimbursement for certain professional licenses and associated renewals and exam fees.We also reimburse tuition for certain eligible programs or classes.We view our professional development programs as strategic investments in our future.
