About World Business LendersWorld Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to small and medium sized businesses across the United States that lack access to traditional funding. WBL is a U.S.-based company with a 100% remote workforce. Working hours are generally 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern time, Monday through Friday, with possible variation based on operational requirements. The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. Resumes must be submitted in English. You must be comfortable working with productivity monitoring systems.ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Road-mappingDefine the target architecture for Angular front-ends, Python back-ends (FastAPI/Django), and SQL Server/Azure SQL data layersCreate integration blueprints (REST/gRPC, webhooks, message queues) for inbound/outbound data flows with third-party systems (CRM, marketing, doc-gen, KYC, etc.)Maintain an ADR (Architecture Decision Record) log and "golden paths" for the teamSolution Design & DeliveryTranslate business processes into modular web application services (domain boundaries, API contracts, data models, error contracts)Lead design reviews; de-risk with spikes and proof-of-concepts; break initiatives into epics/stories with clear Definition of DonePair with engineers on complex features; unblock deep issues in performance, concurrency, and data integrityData & IntegrationsModel relational schemas (normalized tables, SCDs where applicable), define indexes/partitions, and author T-SQL (procs, views, functions)Establish integration patterns (idempotency, retries, backoff, DLQs) and data quality SLAsSecurity & ComplianceOwn authN/authZ (JWT/OAuth2), secrets management, PII handling, and audit loggingDrive secure coding standards, dependency governance, and vendor risk assessmentsReliability & OperationsDefine SLOs/SLIs, observability (structured logs, metrics, traces), and incident playbooksChoose CI/CD strategy (pipelines, environments, canary/blue-green) and infra (Azure/AWS, containers/serverless as appropriate)Mentor senior engineers; run design clinics and post-mortemsCollaborate with business stakeholders to map processes and prioritize automationsRequirements8+ years in software engineering, 3+ as architect/tech leadProduction systems with Angular, Python (FastAPI or Django), and SQL Server (including performance tuning & T-SQL)Building integrations at scale (API gateways, OAuth, webhooks, queues like SQS/Rabbit/Kafka)CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab/Azure DevOps), containerization, cloud (Azure/AWS)Excellent English communication across executives and engineersNice to HaveEvent-driven architectures, DDD, CQRS; feature flags; TerraformExperience in fintech or data-sensitive domainsBenefitsCONTRACT/CONSULTANCY POSITIONPTO AvailableUSD salary ($4000 - $4500)100% Work from homeSeniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionOtherIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
