**Job contributions and key responsibilities**:**Strategy & Planning- Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.- Recommending changes to existing business intelligence processes or policies to improve efficiency.- Developing reports that monitor key business metrics such as customer satisfaction levels or inventory levels.**Acquisition & Deployment- Conduct research and make recommendations on BI products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.- Evaluate and select database/data warehouse components, including hardware, relational database management systems, ETL software, metadata management tools, and database design solutions.- Drive a business intelligence roadmap; prioritize analysis requests to balance the tactical and strategic information needs of the business.**Operational Management- Direct, organize, and lead projects in the implementation and use of new BI software tools and systems.- Develop the semantic layer, metadata, reports, and report definitions.- Develop graphs and portal interfaces.- Assist in the design of databases and data warehouses to ensure interoperability with BI solutions.- Produce ETL design guidelines to ensure a manageable ETL infrastructure for the BI system.- Work with project managers to ensure that data entry, retrieval, change, and delete functions meet business requirements for project completion.- Conduct job duties and responsibilities according to the organization's business systems development methodology and/or its Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.- Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary.- Act as evangelist for BI benefits across the organization; promote BI usage to relevant departments.- Mentor and/or provide leadership to junior members of the team**Other Duties as assigned****Skills & Knowledge:- Comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling.- Expertise in Business Objects tools, such as Scheduler, Designer, Data Integrator, and BO Universe design.- Demonstrated ability with MS Windows, UNIX, AIX, and other operating systems.- Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.- Full project management and development life cycle experience.- Proficiency in data governance practice - Expert- Ability to work with system users to elicit and formally define their requirements - Intermediate- Strong ability to extract information by questioning, active listening, and interviewing - Intermediate- Effectively manages projects - Advance- Strong written and verbal communication, including ability to teach both formally and informally - Intermediate**Education Level:- Bachelor ´s Degree, Master is a plus / Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Management**Years of experience:- 5 to 7 years in areas related to the position, at least 3 years in BI**Languages:- English / Ingles - Advanced- Spanish / Español - Advanced**Travel requirements:- Yes, 20% international, 20% domestic
