Ficosa is an equal opportunity employer.We strongly believe that a diverse workforce is key to our success of gender, nationality, age or others.Our focus is not only on our People, but as well on our Planet: protecting the environmente is one of the main targets to which we dedicate all our efforts to develop products and more efficient and sustainable solutions.MISSIONDevelop and improve production processes in terms of productivity, quality and reduction of associated costs on an ongoing basis through optimal design respecting applicable standards.GENERAL FUNCTIONS- Establish the specifications and technological requirements to be developed for new processes.- Ensure implementation of Ficosa process standards.- Collaborate on analyzing production problems (productivity and quality) for the plant, proposing appropriate corrective measures to improve the process through global standards.- Participate in the Projects meetings.- Take part in quote process for new projects, analyzing the product's design to guarantee optimal industrialization, and analyze the costs and investments associated with the industrialization.- Take part in R&D projects for new products, contributing to the necessary solutions from a process's standpoint.- Take part in the benchmarking teams, helping analyze matters related to the processes.- Research and develop new technology for production processes, with the aim of improving the existing ones.- Propose improvements to current process standards.- Cooperate with maintenance and technical cleaning crew sharing experience, process expectations and developing the most accurate methodology to obtain required performance.- Define and write Work Instructions, process standards, procedures, technical documentation for production employees.- Collaborate with Paint & Chemical supplier's technicians and control of their delivery process regarding quantity, quality and continuous improvement approach.- Support continuous improvement activities in the production processes at the plant of responsibility.- Observe Ficosa's Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices.Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.- Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OHSE and Quality department.- Develop robotic painting programs- Design process for part presentation- Must be able to work 50% of the time traversing on the plant floor and 50% of the time communicating and collaborating in the plant office.- Must be able to traverse in all levels of the paint shop including ascending and descending from ladders and steps.- Must be able to position themselves to perform jobs.- Must be able to move, transport, and lift up to 50 Pounds (equal to 22,7kg ).(*) The duties described are only the most typical of this position and are in no way a comprehensive list.POSITION REQUIREMENTS**Academic background**:Bachelor's degree in electronic, mechanic, automation, chemical or similar engineering.**Languages**:Fluent in local language & Fluent in English (writing, speaking & reading).**Experience**:Minimum of 3 years as a plant processes engineer in automotive industryMinimum of 5 years in other similar position**Travel**:Willing to travelOTHER SPECIFICATIONS**Additional training**:Automation systems programming and design (PLC, HMI, robots, servo-drives, vision systems, etc.); mechanical engineering; specific knowledge of processes in area of responsibility; lean manufacturing methods, Six Sigma problem solving, analysis and statistics tools; ISO TS requirementsFicosa is an equal opportunity employer.We strongly believe that a diverse workforce is key to our success of gender, nationality, age or others.Our focus is not only on our People, but as well on our Planet: protecting the environmente is one of the main targets to which we dedicate all our efforts to develop products and more efficient and sustainable solutions.
