Lead real-time problem solving. Generate and implement process improvement ideas to maintain a competitive productivity level.DutiesPerform hands‑on execution of Lean transformation projects.Deliver Lean curriculum per the Lean Course Catalog. Conduct in‑person training ranging from orientation to problem solving to lean principles and tools.Facilitate Kaizen events; monitor and measure to ensure sustainment of results. Provide guidance to stakeholders on Lean tools and principles including set‑up reduction, standardized work, value stream mapping, and problem solving.Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions including Capital Expenditure requests.Perform cost/benefit analysis.Maintain current knowledge and serve as a technical expert in Lean tools and principles including set‑up reduction, standard work, value stream mapping, A3 problem solving, etc.Assess a situation and determine if an issue is machine related or process related and take corrective action.Assist with production qualification runs including capability assessment.Participate in and support projects that are driven by business initiatives.Provide training, instruction, and guidance to associates on Quality/Process standards.Analyze data to determine process/product conformance and trends.Identify and implement process improvement concepts.Other duties that may be assigned.Education DegreeAssociate's DegreeVocational/TechnicalRequired ExperienceExperience in a lean environment. (2 to 4 years)Impact / Scope / DimensionsSuggestions/recommendations for improvement ideas, fixture fabrication concepts, etc.; Providing instructions and guidance to others on problem solving, 5s, and other lean basics.Working ConditionsManufacturing / Operations CentreLaboratory (with exposure to chemicals)STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.
