Position Summary

Provide process and quality support by ensuring standards are being met throughout the process. Lead real-time problem solving. Generate and implement process improvement ideas to maintain a competitive productivity level.

Duties

  • Perform hands-on execution of Lean transformation projects.

  • Deliver Lean curriculum per the Lean Course Catalog. Conduct in-person training ranging from orientation to problem solving to lean principles and tools.

  • Facilitate Kaizen events; monitor and measure to ensure sustainment of results. Provide guidance to stakeholders on Lean tools and principles including set-up reduction, standardized work, value stream mapping, and problem solving.

  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions including Capital Expenditure requests.

  • Perform cost/benefit analysis.

  • Maintains current knowledge and serves as a technical expert in Lean tools and principles including set-up reduction, standard work, value stream mapping, A3 problem solving, etc.

  • Assess a situation and determines if an issue is machine related or process related and takes corrective action.

  • Assist with production qualification runs including capability assessment.

  • Participate in and support projects that are driven by business initiatives.

  • Provide training, instruction, and guidance to associates on Quality/Process standards.

  • Analyze data to determine process/product conformance and trends.

  • Identify and implement process improvement concepts.

  • Other duties that may be assigned.

Education Degree
  • Associate's Degree
  • Vocational/Technical
Required Experience
  • Experience in a lean environment. (2 to 4 years)
Impact / Scope / Dimensions

Suggestions/recommendations for improvement ideas, fixture fabrication concepts, etc.; Providing instructions and guidance to others on problem solving, 5s, and other lean basics.
