Where you'll fit within the team You’ll join the Americas Accounting team within Bain's Global Financial Accounting function. This team manages core financial operations for our Americas offices and plays a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. What you’ll do As a Senior Accountant, you’ll handle a broad range of general ledger activities across multiple Bain offices in the Americas. You’ll play a key role in the month-end close process, partner with stakeholders across Finance, FP&A, and HR, and contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts. Your responsibilities will include Performing month-end financial close tasks, including preparing journal entries and reviewing workpapers. Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations across various areas. Leading analytical procedures such as month-over-month fluctuation analysis and financial reviews. Supporting the creation of monthly reporting packages for leadership. Coaching and training junior team members while supporting their development. Maintaining documentation and controls for accounting and reporting processes. Assisting with internal and external audits and identifying opportunities to strengthen controls. Contributing to various projects and helping drive improvements to our close process and operational efficiency. About you We’re looking for a skilled accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You should have 4–6 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, ideally in a global environment. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial controls. Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor your message to the audience. Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP S4 HANA Cloud is a plus. A detail-oriented, proactive approach and a commitment to high-quality work. The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as part of a team. A mindset of professional skepticism and continuous improvement.
