Job ID: *****- Location: Tlajomulco de Zuñiga, MX**THE POSITION**As the Project Functional Safety Manager, you will oversee the safety activities for Automotive Electrification, Drivetrain, Engine Control, or Actuation electronic control unit projects.You will also be responsible for system safety requirements and safety architecture development.**Key Responsibilities**:- Acting as Functional Safety Lead to drive the development of automotive electronic control units in compliance with Vitesco Technologies development process and ISO-*****.>Managing functional safety activities with the customer and internal development team.- Analyzing the customer functional safety requirements and developing system safety requirements and safety concepts for system architectures.- Supporting the development of functional safety software and hardware requirements.- Supporting and performing safety analyses on product's system, hardware, and software.- Identifying and managing safety related risks on project in terms of technical feasibility, scheduling conflicts, budget, and resource availability.- Performing Safety Requirements management (elicitation, analysis, prioritization, traceability, changes, metrics).- Planning, coordinating, and supporting creation of functional safety documentations according to ISO-*****.- Conducting reviews with product teams, functional safety assessors, and clients to ensure functional safety standards are being met throughout product development cycles.- Having close contact and collaboration with suppliers and internal global cross-functional teams regarding Functional Safety Management.- Supporting role in developing and maintaining a Safety Culture within the organization.**Qualifications****Basic Qualifications**:- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline such as electrical, computer, mechatronic or software engineering.- 2+ years of automotive systems engineering development experience of electronic control units or equivalent embedded system design experience.- 1+ years of experience developing safety requirements, safety concepts, safety analysis or safety software.- Experience or knowledge of embedded system design practices and solutions.- Experience or knowledge of systems and/or software requirements best practices.- Demonstratable knowledge of project management concepts.- Experience with or Demonstratable knowledge of ISO-***** or any of the following standards: DO178c, IEC *****, MIL-STD-882.- Good communication, team, and presentation skills and able to work in global cross-functional team environment.- Fluent English language skills written and spoken.**Preferred Qualifications**:- 5+ years of automotive systems engineering development experience of electronic control units or equivalent embedded system design experience.- 3+ years of experience developing safety requirements, safety concepts, safety analysis or safety software.- ASPICE knowledge and experience.- Certifications in functional safety, requirements engineering, systems test and/or project management.- Experience or familiarity with Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment, FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, and Software Safety Analysis.- Experience or familiarity system integration testing using fault injection is a plus.- Rational DOORS experience or any similar requirement management tool.- Experience with configuration management tool such as MKS, Git or Jira is a plus.Vitesco Technologies is a leading international developer and manufacturer of state-of-the-art powertrain technologies for sustainable mobility.With smart system solutions and components for electric, hybrid and internal combustion drivetrains, Vitesco Technologies makes mobility clean, efficient, and affordable.The product range includes electrified drivetrain systems, electronic control units, sensors and actuators, and exhaust -gas aftertreatment solutions.In ****, Vitesco Technologies recorded sales of €8.3 billion and employs around 37,000 employees at about 50 locations worldwide.Vitesco Technologies is headquartered in Regensburg, Germany.
