Vice President of Division Operations - Latin America Region Vice President of Division Operations is responsible for overall operations management in different Latin America Locations, supporting one of ABB’s global Divisions. This role will provide strategic direction to manufacturing units, also leading implementation of our Asset Light Business Model within all allocated manufacturing units, optimizing cost, cash and performance. You will have the challenge to successfully integrate allocated manufacturing units from prior acquisitions while delivering committed synergy savings. Develops plans and executes plans through a collaborative and engaging leadership style to meet budget goals. Is accountable for assuring both operational and financial performance. Continues to drive improvement on manufacturing technologies and develops a high-performance work environment. Builds team competencies to raise overall competitiveness. This position reports to: Global Division Marketing & Sales Head. Responsibilities Drive a business turnaround in operations. Lead a cultural transformation and develop and engage people and the organization including capabilities development. Lead the implementation of our Asset Light Business Model within the assigned manufacturing units. Define future state, develop prioritized plans and be responsible for execution. Engage the team in developing plans on how to achieve Regional goals, deploy these plans within the Region, and implement a solid cadence of reviews to ensure goals are met or deviations are identified and actioned promptly. Accountable for assuring operational and financial performance. Drive a business analysis and develop an improvement and growth plan – especially focused on supply chain management and Planning & Fulfillment. Drive operational excellence across the manufacturing locations with a specific focus on driving a zero-incident culture, a highly engaged workforce, superior customer delivery performance and seamless execution of global R&D projects. Engage in lead time reduction projects to ensure continuous improvement and a balanced approach to on-time delivery performance and inventory reduction goals. Seek manufacturing reduction lead times, information flow reduction lead times as well as Sales & Operations Planning. Develop cost-out improvement plans focused on waste elimination and driving productivity improvements. Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed. Build an effective, capable, diverse and high performing organization in which talent development is a key differentiating factor. Background University degree in engineering and MBA. Senior / experienced executive, with international experience and full P/L accountability (15+ years of experience in manufacturing and in general management roles). 5+ years of experience in leading multi-sites, preferably in Mexico, South America, and the United States. Preferably has experience in metal fabrication, injection molding, highly automated assembly processes. Experience in business turnaround in operations. Able to lead a major process and cultural transformation (process with focus on operational performance / operational excellence; cultural: instill the ABB culture). Organization, People and core capabilities developer (weak competence areas in Operations to be strengthened such as Planning and Fulfillment, Logistics, Process Engineering, Procurement). Able to challenge the status quo and evaluate alternative operating models in alignment with an Asset Light strategy. E2E perspective in developing key integrated processes (demand planning, quality) associating Factories to RDC and LSOs. Be the natural counterpart in Operations to the GPG in targeting growth opportunities, executing NPI projects, developing Operational capabilities.
