Descriptif/Résumé du poste**Essential Functions**:- Capable of selecting and evaluating synchronous Generators for Aeroderivative product packages and familiar with all the respective Generator system components.- Familiar with gas turbine product systems design and configurations, including Generator synchronization schemes, protection philosophy, excitation systems and control, able to coordinate with other power plant systems and equipment.- Support and develop dynamic IEEE models (GENTPJ, AC7B, PSS2B, GGOV1) for gas turbine generator products for benchmarking.- Knowledgeable in MV/LV Equipment design, sizing, and interfaces, including GSU, step-up/down transformers and motor control equipment utilized on a power plant level.- Lead design reviews for reliability, performance and safety and compliance type programs for overall plant, including equipment level detail reviews such as GCB, GSUT, LV/MV SWGR and Generator systems.- Working knowledge in IEEE and IEC codes and standards.- Develop design schedule for projects/programs with milestones and work task assignments with cross functional teams.- Provide support and present technical data to internal stakeholders and external customers.- Document and communicate results of technical data generated.- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.- Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business.- Lead extended team of GE and/or contingent workers to ensure that all program deliverables are completed successfully with quality and timeliness.**Qualifications/Requirements**:- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (ABET or equivalent accredited program) from an accredited college or university OR equivalent knowledge / work experience in the Power Systems Sector.- Significant experience in power systems, modeling, and simulation studies.**Desired Characteristics**:- Master's degree in electrical engineering (ABET or equivalent accredited program) from an accredited college or university.- Sound knowledge of power generation products and experience in various grid codes, gas turbine generator drive train influences, and overall plant system solutions in the energy sector.- Support GE Vernova businesses and customers in the areas of renewables, distributed energy resources, energy storage, new product initiatives, and develop improved product solutions.**Fonctions essentielles**:- Sélectionner et évaluer des alternateurs synchrones pour les groupes de produits aérodérivés et connaître tous les composants connexes du système d'alternateur- Maîtriser la conception et les configurations des systèmes associés aux turbines à gaz, y compris les schémas de synchronisation des alternateurs, les principes de protection, les systèmes d'excitation et de contrôle ; savoir les coordonner avec d'autres systèmes et équipements de la centrale électrique- Développer des modèles IEEE dynamiques (GENTPJ, AC7B, PSS2B, GGOV1) pour les alternateurs de turbine à gaz à des fins d'analyse comparative- Disposer d'une bonne connaissance de la conception, du dimensionnement et des interfaces des équipements MT/BT, y compris les transformateurs GSU, les transformateurs élévateurs/abaisseurs et les équipements de contrôle de moteur utilisés au niveau de la centrale électrique- Diriger les revues de conception dans le cadre des programmes de fiabilité, de performance, de sécurité et de conformité pour l'ensemble de la centrale, y compris les revues détaillées au niveau de chaque équipement (GCB, GSUT, SWGR BT/MT et alternateurs)- Lire et interpréter les schémas unifilaires, concevoir des schémas de câblage, des diagrammes de boucle, des schémas d'instrumentation et des schémas de principe et les appliquer aux principes de conception électrique ; réaliser des ACR et des AMDEC- Connaître les codes et les normes IEEE et IEC- Élaborer un calendrier de conception pour les projets/programmes avec des étapes majeures et des affectations de tâches, en collaboration avec les équipes interfonctionnelles- Fournir une assistance aux parties prenantes internes et aux clients externes et leur présenter des données techniques- Documenter et communiquer les résultats obtenus à partir des données techniques générées- Veiller à ce que les données techniques générées pour les projets et/ou tâches assigné(e)s soient correctement documentées, conformément aux procédures et politiques d'ingénierie- Élaborer des déclarations d'invention afin de protéger les technologies qui offrent à la branche un avantage concurrentiel- Diriger une équipe élargie de collaborateurs GE et/ou de travailleurs temporaires pour garantir l'exécution de tous les livrables du programme, en respectant les critères de qualité et les délais*
