**Join AstraZeneca and Innovate with Us**At AstraZeneca, we transform ideas into life-changing medicines.Working with us means embracing entrepreneurship, thinking big, and collaborating to achieve the extraordinary.We're driven by challenges that seem impossible and harness the power of science and collective innovation to bring ideas to life.We are on the lookout for a meticulous and driven Project Finance and Operations Support Analyst with a **strong finance background**.This role supports our R&D IT Project Management Back Office services within the Global Business Services (GBS) organization, specifically in Contract Enablement and Business Operations.You will engage in comprehensive reporting, finance and resource management, metrics tracking, purchasing, governance, and communication activities, collaborating with global Project Managers (PMs) and partners to ensure seamless project execution within AstraZeneca's R&D-IT enabling function.**Key Responsibilities**:- ** Finance & Resources**Lead finance activities for core platforms by:- Managing financials including actuals, accruals, and cross-charges to uphold financial integrity.- Compiling Monthly Progress Reports (MPR) for strategic insights.- Monitoring budget forecasts, providing insights on resource planning and the impact of recruitment.- Ensuring accuracy in SNow (ServiceNow) cost and resource plans.- Maintaining records with Excel to synchronize forecast and actual data.- ** Metrics & Performance**- Set up and manage Operational Health (OH) reports, ensure consistent data quality.- Analyze operational, delivery, and productivity metrics to optimize performance tracking.- Maintain accurate resourcing data in the FRES tracker.- Develop project postcards to showcase achievements using the Airfocus tool.- ** Purchasing**- Initiate Purchase Requisitions and manage goods receipts and Purchase Orders through Coupa.- Oversee documentation and approvals for PO management.- ** Communications & Engagement**- Disseminate communications for cross-team events and ensure project statuses are communicated promptly.- ** Onboarding & Offboarding**- Coordinate equipment issuance and retrieval for project team transitions.- Manage access requests for platforms and ensure training statuses and communications for new starters are up-to-date.- ** Continuous Improvement**- Advocate for standard methodologies and process enhancements, sharing system expertise to improve data accuracy.**Minimum Requirements**:- ** Education**: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration or Finance- ** Experience**: 3 years in project management or related roles, with a deep understanding of operational processes and financial management.- ** Skills**:- ** Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel**and other Office Suite tools.- Familiarity with the Procure to Pay process, Coupa, and ServiceNow is advantageous.- Experience with SmartSheets, Power BI, SharePoint Online, Confluence, Jira, or AirFocus is a plus.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.**Personal Attributes**:- A proactive teammate adept at managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.- Diligent with a commitment to accuracy and quality.- Eager to learn new systems and processes quickly.- Dedicated to driving process improvements and positively influencing team dynamics.- ** Flexibility to align with UK and US (Eastern) time zones.**When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.In-person working gives us the platform we need to connect, work at pace and challenge perceptions.That's why we work, on average, a minimum of three days per week from the office.But that doesn't mean we're not flexible.We balance the expectation of being in the office while respecting individual flexibility.Join us in our unique and ambitious world.At AstraZeneca, we build partnerships that drive efficiency across global functions.We connect with external partners as great teammates who open up conversations and seek input.This collaborative approach enhances productivity as we make our data available across the business, succeeding together.Our diverse team of specialists is empowered to explore new technologies in an ever-changing environment.We challenge norms to find bold new ways of approaching everyday tasks while focusing on sustainable digital healthcare.With exciting opportunities to shape the future of the business and industry, there's no better time to join us.
