Job Description We are looking for a Business Development Manager, (Government vertical B2G Sales) The Business Development Manager (BDM) – Government Market is a senior, hunter-profile sales role responsible for identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing new B2B business opportunities within federal, state, and municipal government institutions. This role requires a strong ability to engage in high-level, C-suite and decision-maker conversations, manage complex sales cycles, and drive growth across multiple B2B industries serving the public sector. The ideal candidate brings deep experience working with specialized government channels, system integrators, and strategic partners, along with a well-established network across public sector institutions. A proactive, results-driven mindset and strong consultative selling skills are essential. Responsibilities Identify, prospect, and develop new B2B business opportunities within government entities at federal, state, and municipal levels. Act as a hunter, leading the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to negotiation and deal closure. Build and manage strong relationships with C-level executives, senior government officials, and key decision makers. Drive a multi-industry B2B approach across government verticals (education, healthcare, public safety, transportation, smart cities, corporate services, etc.). Lead complex negotiations, including commercial, contractual, and compliance aspects related to public sector procurement. Develop and execute strategic account and territory plans aligned with government budgets, tenders, and procurement cycles. Manage and enable specialized government channels, including system integrators, resellers, distributors, and consortium partners. Leverage an existing network of government contacts to accelerate opportunity creation and pipeline growth. Collaborate closely with internal teams (product, marketing, pre-sales, legal, finance) to deliver integrated value propositions. Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting through CRM tools. Essential Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, with a strong focus on the government/public sector. Proven hunter profile with a consistent track record of identifying and closing new business opportunities. Demonstrated experience managing C-level and senior stakeholder negotiations. Solid knowledge of government procurement processes, tenders, and regulatory frameworks. Strong experience working with government-focused sales channels and system integrators. Established network across government institutions and public sector stakeholders. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Fluent English (spoken and written).
