**Growing Water Pump Manufacturer Seeking Applications Engineer for great new opportunity**This Jobot Job is hosted by: Leesa Purtzer**Salary**: $80,000 - $100,000 per year**A bit about us**:My client, a leading Manufacturer of fire protection pumps and water infrastructure systems, is seeking an Applications Engineer to join their growing organization.**Why join us?**Accelerated Growth PotentialLeadership and TrainingCompetitive SalaryGreat Benefits Package**Job Details**Job Responsibilities- Act as liaison between customers and the company's sales engineers, reliability engineers, customer service, and manufacturing.- Troubleshoot technical problems at our customers' sites and in-house- Evaluation of requests, generation of solution proposals- Cost calculation, if necessary in cooperation with the relevant departments- Technical and commercial preparation of offers- Order acceptance, review, and preparation (Complete Order)- Evaluate reports and data to support recommendations for improvement, replacement, or repair of equipment.- Present clear verbal and written technical explanations to customers, tailoring content, and style to the audience.- Provide technical guidance about the successful installation and operation of our products, ensuring that standardized installation procedures are followed.- Maintain data regarding customers' equipment and parts inventories, responding with appropriate actions regarding inventory reduction and consolidation.- Maintain data in engineering systems; process engineering change notices; submit corrective action reports; and maintain current, accurate, and organized files.Education and**Required Skills**:- BS in Mechanical Engineering- 3 years of Mechanical/Hydraulic Engineering- Experience with the specification and quoting of centrifugal firefight pump packages including diesel or electric motors, tanks, pressure vessels- Experience with the specification of vertical turbine pumps for municipalities and general industry- Must understand pump curves, calculation of NPSH, vibration, lubrication, etc- Needs also to be capable of industry sales search tool assessment to develop new opportunities if needed
