General FunctionsThis position is responsible for all production aspects of a business unit(s) within the manufacturing organization.Develops tactical and strategic objectives to meet goals of the department.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and evaluate both direct and indirect resources to ensure high productivity levelsOversee a workforce of hourly and salaried employees, in multiple manufacturing departments, and shiftsTrack and meet daily/weekly/monthly KPIs: Safety Near Miss Reporting, Quality/Scrap, Volume/Productivity, Efficiency and Lead-TimeIdentifies and presents plans to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product linesSet ambitious production goals, communicate them to key personnel and influence team to buy into those ambitious goalsProvide guidance, motivation, and establish methods that will promote objective thinking and teamwork within departmentCommunicate any problems or obstacles to senior managementStrong collaboration and partnership with other core team members to solve cross-functional problemsCreate schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levelsCreate standard work for all positions within the teamIdentify roadblocks impacting department and address with a clear action planOrganization of material flow through each processWork safely and maintain a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsAnnual budgeting to align with the Annual Operating Plan and / or 3- to 5-year manufacturing forecast6-S Implementation/SustainStrong understanding of production efficiency metrics, such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting production issuesEnsures employees are properly trained in all aspects of their jobs.Identifies training gaps and develops training plans as neededOversee the storage and movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods.Manage inventory through physical counts and data reconciliationOversee mold/machine transfer, setup, validation, and optimization of injection-molding processesPartner and coordinate with internal tooling team and external vendors for mold repairs or modificationWork closely with the Quality team to address nonconformances, CAPAs, and audit findingsMaintain documentation for process parameters, validations, and engineering changesBasic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field5+ years of experience in Industrial Automation, PLCs, Pneumatics and Hydraulics, Injection MoldingExperience with scientific molding, RJG/Decoupled Molding, or similar methodologies5+ years of experience in Manufacturing environmentProven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safetyDemonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environmentAbility to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as in a groupExperience in a high volume, high mix, and multiple shift environmentExcellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills (written and verbal)Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree preferredLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification, highly desired – this is our languageExperience using SAPPrevious experience as Manufacturing, Process, or Mechanical EngineerSeniority LevelNot ApplicableEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionManufacturing, Strategy/Planning, and EngineeringIndustryManufacturing#J-*****-Ljbffr
