**Leverage technology to impact patients and ultimately save lives**:**ABOUT ASTRAZENECA**:AstraZeneca is a global, science-led, patient-focused biopharmaceutical company that focuses on the discovery, development and commercialisation of prescription medicines for some of the world's most serious disease.But we're more than one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies.At AstraZeneca we're dedicated to being a Great Place to Work.**ABOUT OUR IT TEAM**:It's a dynamic and results-oriented environment to work in - but that's why we like it.There are countless opportunities to learn and grow, whether that's exploring new technologies in hackathons, or redefining the roles and work of colleagues, forever.Shape your own path, with support all the way.Diverse minds that work cross- functionally and broadly together.**ABOUT THE ROLE**:The purpose of Senior Configuration Analyst is to administrate the CMDB, updating and modifying CI as requested to do so from across IT and Business areas.Also to support other related tasks such as troubleshooting, reporting and driving the maturity of the CMDB as a whole.We own the strategy, support and development of our Shared Service platform (ServiceNow) which is used to support IT, HR and Finance and there are great opportunities to demonstrate the capability to introduce efficient processes, workflow, features and functionality to improve further services to our customers.We work closely with ServiceNow to develop solutions and priorities the introduction of new features and services to transform our IT services for our customers within AstraZeneca, enabling all areas of our business.We maintain the Configuration Management database (CMDB) and associated processes for AstraZeneca.**Function / Team / Location**:The purpose of Workplace and Enterprise Services is to drive customer experience improvements across our IT services through innovation and automation.We work with stakeholders across all areas of AstraZeneca to deliver End to End Service Improvements across IT to ensure our services are as effective and as efficient as possible, and to ensure our service support our current and future business needs.We own the strategy, support and development of our Shared Service platform (ServiceNow) which is used to support IT, HR and Finance and there are great opportunities to demonstrate the capability to introduce efficient processes, workflow, features and functionality to improve further services to our customers.We work closely with ServiceNow to develop solutions and priorities the introduction of new features and services to transform our IT services for our customers within AstraZeneca, enabling all areas of our business.We maintain the Configuration Management database for AstraZeneca and manage AstraZeneca's hardware and software assets and associated processes.**Key Accountabilities**:The Senior Configuration Analyst in Enterprise Technology Services is responsible for completing the following activities:- Responsible for making updates to the CMDB based on workflow driven requests- Responsible for following update processes, SOP and CMDB quality standards- Responsible for creating and running routine CMDB reports- Responsible for updating ServiceNow INC/RITM and other forms of workflow task items- Recommends ITSM enhancements and continuous process improvement initiatives to reduce cost, risk and improve time to value- Work with the team to drive continuous improvement to all our Configuration Management processes, CMDB implementation and procedures and seek opportunities for alignments and collaboration with other teams in End User Services- Driving outcomes that are measurable, sustainable, and aligned to industry standard methodologies- Assists with development, tracking, and execution of targeted Service Improvement Plans and other ITSM projects and initiatives as assigned- Supports the maintenance of ITSM process, audit, and procedure documentation and measurements- Uses reports and dashboards to monitor and support ITSM process performance and user compliance- Provide asset, config and service model process and tool trainings to collaborators- Maintain data certifications and a CMDB health dashboard- Maintain CI class, attribute, and relationship properties for all Cis.- Work with stakeholders and CI data owners to ensure the quality of the CMDB data is maintained and all CI's are up-to-date- Work with Technical Service Owners and Domain Experts to build relationships between assets and ensure the accuracy of the CIs within the CMDB.- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery module.- Knowledge of CSDM Module.**Job Dimensions**:- The position will report to the SACM Manager.- The position will partner with Configuration Product Owner, Discovery Product Owner roles within SACM team.**Technical and People Skills**:- ITIL Foundation Certification- Good knowledge on CSDM, ITAM and Config li
