Monterrey, Mexico | Posted on 09/29/2025The Project Manager / Plant Manager will lead the successfulstartup and subsequent operation of companies new production facility in Mexico.This role requires a hands-on leader with prior experience in plant startups,strong engineering expertise, and the ability to oversee production to meet the companies high standards for quality, quantity, and delivery.Lead all aspects of the newplant's startup, including commissioning of equipment, staffing, processvalidation, and initial production ramp-up to meet launch schedules and qualitytargets.Oversee manufacturing processesincluding paper processing, filter element production, CNC machining, and bulkpackaging to ensure achievement of production quotas, schedules, inventory, andtimely shipments.Develop, implement, and sustainworld-class safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards from plant launchthrough ongoing operations.Collaborate with engineering andcross-functional teams to ensure that plant infrastructure, equipment, andsystems meet design and operational requirements.Manage resources—personnel,materials, equipment, and budget—to meet customer demand and support efficientplant operation.Drive lean manufacturingprinciples and continuous improvement initiatives to embed a culture ofoperational excellence from startup onwards.Lead problem-solving and rootcause analysis efforts using structured methods such as PDCA, fostering teamskills development and coaching on the shop floor.Ensure compliance with allapplicable safety regulations and company policies, promoting a zero-harmworkplace.Establish and maintaincollaborative relationships with corporate departments, suppliers, and localstakeholders to ensure alignment and support.Responsible for department budgetsand financial performance related to the plant startup and manufacturingoperations.RequirementsTechnical BS degree inengineering, science, math, or another related field required.MBA is a plus.Minimum 10 years' experience inmanufacturing management, including line management and operational leadership.Prior direct experience managing aplant startup is strongly preferred.Engineering background with atechnical degree; demonstrated ability to integrate engineering principles intomanufacturing operations.Automotive experience is a plus.Change agent with track record ofleading and achieving process improvements throughout the organization.History of creating a "leanculture" in an organization through shop floor action teams.Strategic thinker with experiencemanaging current priorities & targets while simultaneously developing andprogressing towards a multi-year business plan based on the company's mission,values, and goals.Strong ability to coach associatesat all levels of the organization.Proficient with data analysisusing Excel spreadsheets.Proficiencyusing other statistical software analysis tools is a plus.Action oriented with strongleadership capabilities in dynamic manufacturing situations.Must be able toprocess information quickly and be able to make independent decisions based onincomplete and relevant data.Strong organizational skills, astrong will, ability to multi-task, and able to strategically prioritize basedon production needs.Proven ability to lead teamsacross the organization and provide clear direction to all shop floorassociates.Strong oral and writtencommunication skills.Experience using MRP systems.SAP experience is a plus.Leanmanufacturing training required, including i n depth knowledge of keylean principles:#J-*****-Ljbffr
