GTEC Pumps Design Engineer page is loaded## GTEC Pumps Design Engineerlocations: Torreon, Mexicotime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-*******ROLE SUMMARY**The Pump Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance and reliable centrifugal pump systems and components.You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring new solutions to market.The Design Engineer is responsible for creating designs, 3D models, detail drawings, bills of materials, and providing technical support for manufacturing and assembly processes.**RESPONSIBILITIES*** Drive, control and take ownership of engineering activities.* Collaborate with BU's and GTEC Engineers to improve the Customer Satisfaction and Employee Engagement.* Have strong collaboration with project team.* Implements engineering best practices and Flowserve standards, reviews new standards and identifies gaps.* Apply programs & methods of solving problems and modify existing product designs to meet customer needs & to improve product life.* Work with other Design Engineers to promptly investigate & resolve shop floor problems relating to design or quality issues; record & report findings, make corrections & help develop and implement permanent, cost-effective solutions.* Create designs drawings, and other documents with the help of CAD tool.* Generates bills of material and manufacturing drawings for engineered products.* Identify new/improved design standard and procedural documents.* Responsible for identifying upgrades opportunities for processes and products.* Perform basic design calculations.* Provide technical support to internal and external customers.* Delivery on time engineering deliverables.* Meet project timelines for engineering documentation and gathers approvals at the first issue.* Ensure customer satisfaction, accuracy, and timeliness of customer documentation.**QUALILFICATIONS*** Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related engineering discipline.* +3 years of related experience.* Computer-Assisted Design/3-Dimensional design.* Analytical, problem solving and computer skills.* Good planning, time management and organizational skills.* Understanding of engineering documentation, drafting, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing* Intermediate English verbal and in written form.* Communicate professionally and with accepted business etiquette.* Collaborative interpersonal skills**COMPETENCES*** Creative thinker, good team player & Problem solver* Demonstrated decision-making skills.* Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.* Good engineering subject knowledge.* Detailed knowledge of engineering product, design principles and processes.* Team collaboration.#J-*****-Ljbffr
