Type: Full-time, Remote About the Role: We’re building a team of curious, adaptable engineers who thrive on using AI to accelerate development, reduce boilerplate, and drive innovation across diverse projects, including native apps, frontend, backend, and our infrastructure. Roles and Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code for Django application. Interact with and optimize PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high performance and data integrity. Work with various services and systems, including AWS S3 for storage and Redis for caching. Implement and manage different authentication methods, including JWTAuthentication for clients and FirebaseAuthentication for our internal Ops Dashboard, while maintaining Django's session-based authentication for the admin panel. Utilize Temporal to manage complex workflows and ensure reliable task execution. Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues throughout the application. Work effectively with global, cross-functional teams, communicating clearly and managing tasks asynchronously. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices, and apply them to improve our development processes. Collaborate with a global team of like-minded engineers to build and maintain high-quality software solutions. Help transition from no-code platforms to scalable solutions. Participate in async communication, daily check-ins, and effectively manage blockers to ensure smooth project progress. Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Backend Web Developer. Expert-level proficiency in Python 3.12. Deep expertise with the Django framework. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and management. Hands-on experience with Redis and AWS S3. Proficient in implementing and managing various authentication systems, including Django Session-Based Authentication, JWTAuthentication, and FirebaseAuthentication. Experience with Temporal or other workflow orchestration systems is highly desirable. Solid understanding of the Django ORM. Prior experience in logistics and supply chain projects is a significant plus. Proven ability to work asynchronously with minimal guidance and collaborate effectively with global teams. Skilled in modern coding practices, including leveraging AI tools for optimal coding efficiency and experience working with Claude Code. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client interactions and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
