**Company Description**Under supervision, follows an engineer's direction in the completion of project related drawings and other technical project activities.**SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** **INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:- Work with the engineer to develop and execute production of engineering drawings using a design software (3D and 2D), engineering change documentation, and data from various engineering calculations as required.- Coordinate work into drafting and complete the initial checking review of finished documents.- Responsible for ensuring that pertinent John Crane Technical Standards and Procedures are followed in the completion of the project cycle.**Qualifications** POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:- Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.- 2 to 5 years of related experience at designing pressure vessels, heat exchangers or piping systems.Also, must have experience in a manufacturing environment.- Must have the ability to work independently and/or in coordination with an engineer in development of designs.- Must have aptitude for problem solving to include the ability to gather, correlate and present statistical data for review and use by an engineer or other parties toward the completion of an assigned project.**OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES**:- Intermediate English- Requires experience with the following computer programs: Advance Experience using Designing software (Solid Edge, Catia, SolidWorks, inventor, etc.) and/or 3D CAD-Solid Edge is preferred.MS Office products - Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.- Knowledge in welding (symbology and details).- Knowledge in valves operation (gate, ball, globe, needle)- Preferred Knowledge in P&ID symbology- Preferred knowledge in material specifications (ASTM and ASME) for but not limited to CS and Stainless steel.- Preferred knowledge in ASME Code Sec.VIII Div.1.- Preferred knowledge in codes as: ASME B16.5, ASME *****, B16.9 and B*****M.**Additional Information** Diversity & Inclusion**We believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.All qualified applicants will receive equal consideration for employment regardlessof race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, economic status, disability, age, or any other legally protected characteristics.We are proud tobe an inclusive company with values grounded in equality and ethics, where we celebrate, support, and embrace diversity.**Additional Information**According our mission, vision and Global Policies: Under no circumstances shall Staff be charged any fee or other costs in relation to their recruitment to work at Smiths, whether directly or indirectly.Any recruitment fees shall be paid by Smiths.Smiths will not employ anyone below the age of 18.Smiths will take reasonable steps to satisfy itself of the member of Staff's age before that person starts work at Smiths.When persons under the age of 18 are employed, they must not do work that is mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous or harmful or interferes with their schooling by depriving them of the opportunity to attend school.
