We make progress and innovation happen with our customers, wherever we work and live, building a better world for everyone.Manager Accounting Brief Summary:As Manager Accounting, you will develop and maintain a substantial business partnership with Production and Operations Managers from two facilities. Your focus will be on enabling key metric achievement, guiding monthly financial results, and creating a short‑, mid‑, and long‑term planning perspective.Role DefinitionManages the financial record‑keeping, reporting, tax filing and other accounting functions for the organization. Leads a Finance Team supporting daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual processes with cross‑functional teams, while driving Finance Team development.ResponsibilitiesProduce accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external use, in accordance with GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley section 404.Prepare and lead the preparation of reports summarizing and forecasting business activity and financial position based on past, present, and expected operations.Ensure compliance with accounting policies and practices; work closely with internal auditors, public accountants, federal tax examiners, and other financial professionals.Oversee and evaluate the activities of the accounting staff and provide professional development; analyze and solve accounting problems.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, and/or Accounting.3–5 years of experience in General Accounting.Demonstrated conversational and written English proficiency.Availability for 5 days per week in office work.Occasional travel to the San Diego facility.Position based in Building 3 with at least one day per week required at Building 1 (both buildings in Tijuana, Mexico).SkillsProblem SolvingLeadershipCross‑Functional Communication and ExecutionDecision MakingEstablishing Priorities and DelegationPlanning According to Strategic and Operational GoalsPosting DatesJanuary 14, 2026 – February 2, 2026Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
