Job Description Senior Sales Manager – Retail & Import Sourcing Location: Mexico City Territory: Mexico (with international sourcing responsibility) Reporting to: Global Sales Director / Group CEO Remit: Major Mexican Retailers & Importers The OpportunityWe are a fast-growing international supply chain and sourcing group with operational offices in:China, Vietnam, India, Turkey, Mexico, UK, Hong Kong We supply major global retailers, wholesalers and importers with private-label and branded consumer goods across:Home & household, DIY & hardware, Furniture, Garden, Seasonal, General merchandise, Value retail We are now seeking a Senior Sales Manager based in Mexico City to build and scale our retail sourcing business with Mexico’s largest retailers and importers.This role is focused on winning orders and replacing incumbent suppliers, trading companies and agents. Target CustomersThis role is focused on winning ADDITIONAL business with (we supply 4 of these retailers)Liverpool, Soriana, Chedraui, Price Shoes, La Comer, Walmart Mexico, Waldo’s, and Other national and regional retailers and Importers and distributors and possible industrial manufacturers Core MissionYour mission is simple:Win retail import programmes and convert them to our global sourcing platform.You will:Open doors with senior buyersReplace incumbent vendors and agentsSecure long-term supply programmesBuild multi-category sourcing pipelines using our China, Vietnam, India and Turkey offices Key Responsibilities1. Retail Business DevelopmentDevelop senior-level buyer relationships at Mexico’s major retail groupsOriginate and close private-label and import supply programmesConvert buyers currently sourcing via agents and trading companiesWin preferred supplier and framework agreements2. Account Management & GrowthManage and grow key retail accountsExpand into multiple categories and divisionsBuild long-term partnerships with buying teams3. Product & Sourcing DevelopmentWork with our Asia sourcing offices to:Develop product rangesCost engineer programmesConsolidate vendor basesDrive seasonal, promotional and core range programmes4.
