Job SummaryAs an Area Sales Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of Account Managers within the travel tech industry, responsible for building and growing client partnerships. You will drive the execution of data-driven strategies across multiple product lines—including accommodation, mobility, experiences, luxury, fintech, and insurtech—ensuring alignment with corporate goals. Your leadership will be key to achieving acquisition and production targets, enhancing partner profitability, and turning clients into long-term advocates.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyCoach and mentor Account Managers to foster a high-performance culture.Provide strategic direction on market trends, deal structuring, and client management.Drive team achievement of sales objectives and new product activation.Sales Execution & OptimizationAnalyze data to identify growth opportunities and evaluate market dynamics.Translate insights into actionable strategies across HBX Group product lines.Support lead generation, client onboarding, and activation efforts.Stakeholder CollaborationBuild relationships across all levels of client organizations and internal teams.Influence cross-functional stakeholders to support growth initiatives.Provide feedback to improve reporting, processes, and operational efficiency.Market RepresentationRepresent HBX Group in the local market, participating in industry events and organizations.Strengthen the company’s presence and reputation within your territory.Required SkillsProven success in leading sales teams to exceed targets.Strategic thinking with a consultative coaching style.Strong commercial acumen and understanding of profitability.Excellent communication and public speaking skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to translate numbers into stories.Growth mindset, curiosity, and integrity.Comfortable driving change and adopting new tools and methodologies.Required Tech SkillsProficiency in Salesforce CRM for forecasting and pipeline management.Experience with SalesLoft and BI tools like Tableau.Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Understanding of API functionality and travel tech platforms.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.Minimum 10 years of total work experience, with 5+ years in sales, business development, or client relationship management.5+ years of management experience leading high-performing teams.Fluent in English and source market language (essential).Willingness to travel up to 40% for client visits and meetings.Experience working in matrixed organizations.Existing network in travel, financial, or adjacent industries is a plus.At HBX Group, we believe that diversity drives innovation and makes travel a force for good.
