Role Operational Accounting Specialist Location Monterrey, Mexico Employment Type Full-time About The Role We are seeking an Operational Accounting Specialist to join our Finance Shared Services team in Monterrey. This role is critical to supporting Carrier’s Project Prosperity (CIT) initiative, which introduces new company codes and processes in SAP for cross-border transactions. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency across multiple entities. Key Responsibilities Supporting the month-end financial statement closing process, including preparing journal entries. Performing month-end account reconciliations and resolving aged items. Analyzing key balance sheet accounts and reserves to ensure accuracy. Managing inventory accounting processes such as E&O, SNB accruals, consignment, warehouse cutoff accruals, and monitoring iDOC errors. Assisting with SOX compliance and internal/external audit requests. Collaborating on cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives impacting operational accounting. Requirements We are looking for people who are detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive problem-solvers. If this is you, get in touch. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 5+ years of accounting experience. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Accounting.
