The chemicals pricing team is a dynamic and expanding team responsible for key pricing benchmarks. The price reporter will typically finish work by 5pm, depending on commodity market conditions. Responsibilities and Impact The Senior Price Reporter is responsible for reporting on daily physical trading activity. The market reporter will gather, test, and publish price information in real‑time, and obtain an understanding of supply‑demand fundamentals through daily interactions with primary market participants. They will also conduct price assessments based on established methodology, contribute to its development, and write and lead insightful market commentaries, news and analysis pieces. The reporter is also expected to participate in multi‑media coverage, such as webinars and presentations, including representing Commodity Insights at industry events. The reporter is also responsible for engaging with market participants, while building and managing a database of industry contacts. The reporter also identifies opportunities to refine methodology and launch new price assessments with the goal to advance growth in the Chemicals team.
