Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico Glass plant.Recognized as a top area employer, you can build your dream career at Therma-Tru in our engaged, performance-driven culture.**Job Description**:- Analyze the risks and behaviors of people, looking for the ¨mindset ¨ of good safety practice.Identify high-risk operations, seeking the implementation and process changes to ensure a safe working environment.- Minimize impacts to the environment through guided towards environmental protection and pollution prevention strategies.- Monitor and communicate on performance to improve decision making regarding EH&S and to integrate it into business decisions.- Ensure compliance with EH&S legal requirements.- Investigation of accidents and incidents in order to determine the causes and motives that generate accidents and incidents to mitigate them through problem solving.- Support, audits and monitors practice regarding the handling, storage and disposition of materials and residues (hazardous and non-hazardous) with the purpose of comply with environmental laws and regulations.- Lead and ensure compliance of ISO ***** Environmental Management System, Industria Limpia & Programa de Autogestion by the Mexico Secretary of Labor.- Provides support in training events related with EH&S programs.- Additional duties assigned by Sustainable Development.- Generate safety standards, implementing the system of safety standards and through detection of near misses, where the same employees know detect unsafe acts and conditions.- Authorize and monitor risk jobs performed by employees and stakeholders; compliance with safe work of internal and stakeholders, through the provision of training, revision papers, work permits, and audits.- Detection of unsafe acts and conditions (near misses), aiming to mitigate and control similar situations where an accident can occurs.- Participates and provides support related with quality and EHSS systems management, objectives, targets and programs.- Support for plans, activities and inspections of the internal EH&S committee.- Provides information and training courses regarding diseases and accident prevention as well as first aids.- Executes a daily, weekly and monthly safety reports.- Management of chemicals room.**Qualifications**:- Engineering Degree in EHS or Industrial- 5+ years of experience in similar role- Experience in the Maquiladora industry preferably.- Knowledge of Mexico's government obligations regarding industrial safety, health and environmental laws and regulations- Fluent in OSHA knowledge- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety operations- Internal auditor in ISO *****- Advance communication Skills in English- Strong Computer knowledge (Excel and Project Management)Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
