**Remote Status**: Fully Remote**Job Type & Title**: Systems Engineer**About Our Client**:Our client is a private, family-owned energy company that supplies natural gas, electricity, and clean energy solutions to residential and commercial customers across the U.S.The company is committed to sustainability, offering 100% green electricity and carbon-neutral natural gas.**About The Job**:Responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing infrastructure.This role involves managing complex systems, ensuring optimal performance and security, and providing expert technical support to meet the evolving needs of our business.**Primary Responsibilities**:System Design and Implementation:- Design and implement new systems and solutions to support business operations.- Develop and manage system configurations and ensure compliance with company- policies.System Maintenance and Support:- Monitor and maintain system performance to ensure high levels of availability and- security.- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.- Conduct regular system audits and backups to ensure data integrity and availability.Infrastructure Management:- Manage and configure servers, networks, and storage solutions.- Implement and manage virtualization technologies and cloud services.- Ensure infrastructure scalability and redundancy to support business growth and- continuity.Security Management:- Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.- Project Management:- Lead or participate in IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.- Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones.- Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders.Vendor Management:- Manage relationships with hardware and software vendors.- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools.- Ensure that vendor contracts and service level agreements are met.**Other Roles and Responsibilities**:Collaboration and Training:- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.- Provide training and support to end-users and other IT staff.- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.Documentation and Reporting:- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and- policies.- Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and changes.- Provide recommendations for improvements based on analysis and reporting.**Required Skills**:Technical Proficiency:- Operating Systems: Expertise in Windows, Linux, and UNIX systems.- Networking: Knowledge of network protocols, routing, firewalls, and VPNs.- Virtualization: Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware.- Cloud Services: Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python,- Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef).System and Network Administration:- Ability to configure and manage servers, storage systems, and network devices.- Experience with backup and recovery solutions.- Proficiency in monitoring and performance tuning of systems and networks.Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve technical issues.- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.Communication and Collaboration:- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide clear technical- guidance to non-technical stakeholders.Documentation and Reporting:- Proficiency in creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation.- Ability to generate and analyze system performance and incident reports.Adaptability and Learning:- Willingness to stay current with the latest technologies and industry trends.- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes.**Minimum Education and Experience**:- **Language**:Must be fluent in English speaking, reading & writing.Spanish is a plus.- Minimum of 5 years of infrastructure technical experience- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience in implementing leading-edge infrastructure technologies.- Professional certifications within infrastructure-related areas, while not a minimum requirement, would be highly desirable.**Job Types**: Full-time, ContractContract length: 12 monthsPay: From $38,****** per monthWork Location: Remote
