Responsible for assigning work, meeting production due dates, interpreting and ensuring application of policies and procedures. Responsible for appraisal and discipline of work team members. Coordinate Continuous Improvement activities by continuously teaching and training associates using the TQPS principles.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Ensure compliance with Policies and Practices Ensure 5S standards are maintained — Daily verification of items on 5S checklist Ensure and enforce the use of Safety Blocks Follow the lockout/tagout procedure Keep all safety curtains/guards in place during operation Review and submit suggestions to improve the Safety Environment in assigned areas Audit part quality throughout the shift Assist associates on first/last off part quality at changeover Verify final visual inspection of all parts leaving press area for quality; verify that containment pans are used as specified for batch quantities Ensure proper containment procedures are followed when poor quality is detected Ensure the Containment Checklist procedures are executed if product becomes contaminated Arrange manpower as needed to meet production requirements Confirm attendance of team members and report out to the Group Leader Quickly assist associates when machines go idle — escalate problem to next level Able to fill in as needed for any assigned job in the area of responsibility Follow the Standard Operating Procedures guidelines — dies come out of press if they are not runningNorth American Stamping Group is a drug-free and smoke-free workplace. #J-18808-Ljbffr
