Littelfuse is one of America's Best Mid-Sized Companies (Forbes) and has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois (Best Companies Group) for 11 consecutive years.With its global headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, USA, Littelfuse is a leading, global manufacturer of electronic components serving more than 100,000 end customers across industrial, transportation, and electronics end markets.We have more than 17,000 employees with operations in 15 countries.From semiconductors to sensorsswitches to fuses and morewe produce billions of electronic components that help our customers empower a sustainable, connected, and safer world.In ****, Littelfuse had net sales of $2.1 billion.- Reporting to Sr.Supervisor Procurement you as Strategic Buyer will be responsible for MRO and indirect procurement (including sourcing, contract management, cost savings, etc.) to ensure best practices and the best total cost of ownership.About the job:- Develop and execute strategic sourcing activities for assigned spend categories, leveraging industry best practices, commodity expertise, sourcing methodology, and global partnerships where possible, under the oversight of the NA MRO and the indirect purchasing manager.- Proactively align stakeholders and necessary internal support for successful project implementation.- Develop RFI/RFP/RFQ for new and existing products and services.Obtain goods and services from suppliers in a cost-effective manner while remaining consistent in quality, delivery, and project priority.- Effectively conduct negotiations and manage supplier selection to meet quality, service, and cost requirements.Negotiates contracts with suppliers, reviews and ensures the performance of suppliers to ensure compliance with the contract and internal customer satisfaction.- Implement sourcing projects for standardization, preferred supplier utilization, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.Research and analysis of appointments received, selected or recommended providers.Preferred vendor analysis and reporting, savings project completion, vendor savings validations, inflation, inventory history, utilization/consumption, etc.- Take a proactive approach to resolving issues with internal suppliers and customers using organizational expertise, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills- Builds trust-based, service-oriented, value-added relationships with vendors, internal customers, teammates, and cross-functional departments.- Initiate and coordinate specific cost reduction programs.Deliver cost savings targets.- Assist with other/specific projects as needed.About you:- University degree- Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience (competent in negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing processes).- Experience in management projects.- Essential command of English 90%- Analytical skills and computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).- Proven experience in negotiations with suppliers including the activities of preparing and managing procurement agreements.- Written and verbal communication skills essential.- Experience preferably in various industry locations.- Management of the SAP system preferably.- Training based on DNC.Littelfuse strives to empower associate growth and development in a culture of ongoing collaboration and respect for diverse global perspectives and expertise.Our Core Values - Customer Focus, Integrity, Innovation, Teamwork and Results Driven - supports us on our mission to improve the safety, reliability, efficiency, and performance of our customers' products and systems.We are an equal opportunity employer that takes pride in giving every associate the means and courage to make a difference - everywhere, every day.We offer a competitive salary package and a variety of benefits, including as well as development opportunities like internal Lean Six Sigma Certification.- #LI-SPG
