Fire Protection Engineer

Overview:**Responsibilities**:- Working knowledge of Hydracad Software.- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden the knowledge base- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.Autodesk Construction Cloud is a plus.- Industrial design experience including automotive manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and industrial buildings.- Develop and create fire protection systems design criteria for industrial buildings.- Designs a complete project, system, component, process, or unique aspects as it relates to fire protection.- Performs and documents engineering hydraulic calculations related to fire protection systems to select code-compliant systems and equipment.- Coordinate with various disciplines during the design process.- Develop process improvements / workflows / templates to increase design productivity and quality of deliverables.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related.- Minimum of eight-ten (6 -10) years' experience in Fire Protection Engineering required.- Advanced knowledge in NFPA standards and FM Global Data Sheets.- Strong CAD/Revit experience.- Ability to work cross-functionally and with large teams.- Strong communication skills to explain complex technical challenges and solutions clearly and concisely.- Ability to travel to site as needed.- Collaboration, customer focus, responsibility.- Bilingual English-Spanish.- Nicet or NFPA certification is a plus.
