Header:**K&A Engineering Consulting - White Plains, NY**-** is a people-first organization.We value knowledge and learning.We believe in the power of connection and collaboration, and we seek to build relationships that mean something.We employ some of the best and brightest in our industry and work hard to maintain a culture that our people can be proud of.Our company has earned its reputation through challenging work, uncompromising precision, and continuous learning and adapting.K&A Engineering is a privately held company, providing comprehensive consulting, engineering and design, program/project management, construction management, and support services to power utility and industrial clients.K&A's experience includes all aspects of generation, transmission, substations, distribution, energy efficiency, and distributed energy resource (DER) projects, from planning and environmental and regulatory analyses through engineering and design, construction, program management, project controls, and commissioning.The utility industry is a vast market and we have rapidly established ourselves as a top-tier service provider.We were recently ranked #126 on the Inc. **** List of America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies and the top engineering firm with a three-year growth rate of 3,166%.Job Overview:Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking experienced **Field Constuction Coordinators** to join our Electrical Operations team in Upstate, New York.K&A is willing to support relocation from Mexico.Responsibilities & Duties:**Field Constuction Coordinator** services include but are not limited to the following:- Work with Construction Managers managing the construction of electric substations, distribution lines, generation upgrades, and other projects- Execute work orders and inspections- Supervise contractors and make sure projects are being completed correctly- Establish and Manage construction materials and review material plans- Maintain Safety Awareness and ensure all contractors comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures to assure a safe working environment at the construction site- Manage activities related to coordination of field inspection and sign-offs for construction projects.- Collaborate with management staff to resolve problems and coordinate activities with the Construction Managers and Field Construction Managers.- Make sure projects and all construction resources are within the allowed scheduled and budget- Adhere to company policies, programs, and procedures as well as Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American- Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), New England Independent System OperatorQualifications & Skills:- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in progressive related electric utility industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management- Two (2) years of college is preferred- Prior US Project Experience is a plus- Good working knowledge through actual use of MS Office products including Excel, Access, Word and MS Project- Basic knowledge of various electric utility assets and equipment- Must be able to speak English fluently and comfortably- Knowledge of SAP Software is a plus- Ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences both in writing and verbally- Must have extensive knowledge in construction and maintenance of Utility equipment, including but not limited to transmission and distribution systems, underground networks, and substations- Able to assess the health of Utility assets and equipment as they relate to the utility inspection program.- Able to physically walk distribution lines or remote transmission right of ways- Experience in interaction with contractors and assessing their work- Must have current US Work authorization and valid US Driver's License in good standing- Must be able to relocate to Upstate New York (Rochester, Buffalo, Binghamton, Liberty, Brewster, or Mechanicville) for 12 months or more**The salary range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licenses and certifications; and other related skillsets.The disclosed range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
