What does KLAR do?Klar is working hard to bring digital banking to everyone in Mexico.What is so special about digital banking?Traditional banks have overhead costs per customer that make it unprofitable for them to serve people with smaller deposits or who live in remote areas.By bringing down the cost of banking, Klar is working towards making it possible for the people who need it most to get access to a line of credit to carry them through a rough week or help them grow their own small business.We are a co-located company with Offices in Ciudad de México, México and Berlin, Germany.This position is based in Ciudad de México, México.While we support flexible working arrangements (home office, periodic remote work) we focus our time zones on Berlin and Mexico City and value a strong team culture with the possibility to meet up for in-person meetings and informal social gatherings.Your daily adventures will beThe Corporate Accounting Senior Manager will share responsibility for the general accounting function of the organization.It includes ensuring proper overall general ledger accounting in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.Will oversee accounts payables and is a key preparer of closing process adjustments, account reconciliations, etc.This position will report to our Director of Finance & Accounting.**What you will be doing**:- Elaborate and review financial statement consolidations.- Manage multi-currency operations.- Manage general accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, inter-company transactions).- Assist in preparing US GAAP and IFRS financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes including settlement receivables and payables, banks, payment processor, and source systems.- Manage month-end close processes to ensure accounting entries and processes are completed timely and accurately.- Ensure that financial information is recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS and applicable regulations and consistent with established company policy and procedures.What you bring to the table- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.- 4+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience.- Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.- Knowledge of financial services accounting (not required but preferred)- Knowledge of MS-Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc).- Knowledge of ERP.- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, a strong desire to learn, and an ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced company that is going through substantial growth.- Eye for detail, process oriented mindset and structured approach.- Capacity to work to tight timeframes, with a natural ability to manage competing priorities and a proven ability to meet deadlines.- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.- A demonstrated ability to work independently, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment, and have fun working in a team.- Fluent in English.What do we offer?- Working in a very international team.- Flexible work environment, with home office and remote work arrangements.- Competitive Compensation.- A world-class team that helps you evolve your skills in areas you're interested in.- An opportunity to have a real impact on the financial landscape of Mexico.
